Let’s break down the process using this step by step guide:
Turn off the Machine:
Open the vending machine and turn it off at the mains to ensure safety and prevent electrical mishaps. This is during installation.
Drill the Holes or remove the Note reader Plate . Using 10mm long socket and wrench.:
Tape the flange plate or remove the Flange plate first at the front of the vending machine where you want the card reader to go.
Securely tape it in place and then drill holes through the plate.
These holes will be used to screw the card reader in place during mounting.
Mount the Reader:
Use a screwdriver or a 1omm socket and wrench to mount the credit card reader on the inside of the vending machine.
The screws/nuts holding the card reader should go on the interior side of the machine.
Position the Card reader main unit inside the door and Antenna… run lead to top of the door : Place the receiver inside the machine. If it’s magnetic, stick it against an inside wall towards the top, as high as you can.
Ensure that the receiver’s antenna is closer to the top of the machine door or the main body of the machine to receive a strong signal ( This gives it a Ground plane for better signal reception and sending data.
Connect the Wiring:
Connect the MDB/DEX cable to the appropriate port on the receiver.
Next, connect the other end of the MDB/DEX cable to the vending machine’s NOTE acceptor if your going to use it …but really make your vending machine a totally “CASHLESS Vending Machine.”
